With soil temperatures creeping up there at this time of year bactieria and fungi normally begin to peak and die off. I was wondering if anyone has tried to re-innoculate the soil around a plants vines? Would there be any benefit to this?

Absolutely! I'll be trying to finish up reinoculating our best plant (before going on vacation) today. Bacterial inoculation causes a 2-3 week shift in the biosphere after which time things settle back to normal.
I'll add more VAM at the same time. Why not?

How would you do this? Simply spread it over the top soil or in a water sprayer?

There are some types of water soluable fungi products that can be mixed with water. I will spread my spores on the ground between the rows cover with a bit of dirt and water them in.
