friday night: will be an “open” chili competition. you can cook any type chili except “exotic” meats. turn in will be 8:00pm for judging saturday: will be a “texas red” competition using chili ground only. turn in time will be 2:00 pm for judging. we ask all chili cooks to have plenty of “throwdown” chili for public tasting. throwndown chili must contain beans, pasta or other filler. all judging will be blind judging.
this is a fundraiser for the children’s miracle network. all profits will benefit the children’s miracle network! we will be selling tasting cups to the public both friday and saturday. competition chili can’t be sampled by the public until after the judging is over.
all business leaders, crafters, chili-heads and anyone else interested in being part of the inaugural mid south fall festival should contact horace @ 368-8935. there is a limited number of craft vendor and business spaces available. so call early to reserve your space.
we would like to thank leslie towns and farmerville motors for being the lead sponsor for the event
