I am wondering if anyone else is having the same bad luck as I am having this year. I have six plants in my garden and at this point, still nothing setting on. Some were in the ground early and some several weeks later. On a couple, I am just getting females setting on but knowing my luck, they will abort. Right now, I am ready to pull all but two plants just to see what will happen to them. Hope I have better luck next year. Frank of Iowa

Some years are like this Frank. I've had a few & this year is far from over. Set whatever you can & grow them for fun. This IS supposed to be fun.

FYI my main on the 1346 Pitura snapped just after my first female, lost was small. I trained the last 3 secondaries to be mains. I was able pollinate 3. 2 took. Culled one 40 inches yesterday. The main fruit is on the 2nd secondaryfrom the tip on left side (looking from the stump) at day 24 OTT was 159. Keep trying. Tim
