I'm shopping for a stump fan to circulate air around the stump. Those of you who use one, what brand/model do you use? battery or AC?

i use those small plastic twin window fans around 10 15 bucks they work good and even take alot of abuse get wet flip breaker they fire right back up cant kill them. i got fans on all stems of bigger pumpkins there all fine but its just to keep things nice and dry. i took 4 pieces of rebar 2 foot long stuck the bottom of a big tupperware container over stump plenty high enough so it doesnt get hot in sun keeps things dry as plant ages seems to be better if stump gets air sun and less water. 110 volt think cheap i wouldnt spend alot on them

Make sure you have a groung fault some where between the fan and the outlet... Im going to do some research this winter and see whats out there. I saw a misting fan for about $100... Can cool with it during the day and turn water off and use it to just move air around at night. Thats half the fun, experimenting with new stuff!

Im too cheap and I dont feel like getting so many fans. I just use those plastic fans that look like windmills you find in Dollar General stores.

Matt, I remember someone talking last year about using computer monitor fans, they say they work really well for how small it is, I think they run it off a small battery, or you can run it off electric, I cant find it in search but maybe someone else can, I stink at the search menu.

Billy's fans look pretty slick. Hos long does a 12V deep cycle last running those things? We don't have electricity at our patch so 12V looks like the way to go if the need should arise.

I use 24V 4"x4" computor fans, run off 12V ATV or sealed cell battery,,,,battery runs for a week on a charge. Small enough to hang off a main for stem splits.

deep cycle last well over a week 24/7..longer of course if only during the day use..these fans use 1.5amp..gonna play with solar battery charger.. hope this helps..i find it easier to cut off the plug in adapter and use clips to connect to battery post, they seem to rust to fast and cheaper then buying the (power port adapter)been there done that..lol..these fan move back and forth..
