When people give a circumference measurement, where around the pumpkin are they taking the measurement from?
perpendicular to the stem widest part?

From stem to blossom all the way around parallel to the ground. Always measure around the widest part of the pumpkin.

how do you measure from stem around to stem?
the stem gets in the way......i guess i have been measuring wrong for the last 7 days and my pumpkins are bigger then i thought.

Jeremy, measure either just above, or just below the stem, all the way around...if the blossom end is still on the pkn., measure either just above or just below it also. Hope this helps. Peace, Wayne
