my pumpkin plants kinda got a slow start and my first pumpkin is coming but it's only like 5 feet out on the vine and i was wondering if i should pollinate it or not since it's kinda late in season.

Pollinate everything on the main. If a better set comes along later you can always cull this one. Never cull anything until your "final decision" is out of the woods.
