when a pumpkin has deformed lobes ,,does the pumpkin deform?,,,please give me your opinion,,,,,,thanks littlebit

Yes, 2 for 2 with deformed lobes = deformed fruit here. Never again.

Type "seeds in blossom" in the "sight search" box and you'll get some more info. (they seem to go hand in hand with deformed lobes) I got lucky and had a better looking later set so the deformed one got axed! Good luck!

thanks duff ,,very interesting !!i guess i know witch one to cull !!!!!! no dought,didnt think i`d keep this one anyways ,,at ten feet out ,,,I like 12 to 15,,,,,

I had a fruit in 2004 that had some hanging seeds off the side of a deformed lobe. I pollinated it and it grew only slightly deformed with a shallow depression on the top and eventually reached 695 pounds.

My 500 Wallace presently had seeds in the blossom, it started to be mishapen but now has really rounded out, Ill post more pics later but it now looks really good, perhaps it sensed another being pollinated and wants to be the one.....lol
