Gentlemen and Ladies,
I was doing a search and couldn't find measurements for 10,15,20,30,40,50,60 days for 1000 pound or bigger pumpkins. I was wondering if you all could post yours. I did notice someone mention that both of her 1000 pounders were 24 inches at 10 days. I have three pumpkins on two plants that were measured anywhere from 24 to 28 inches. I would appreciate anybody posting there measurement for the 1000 # or bigger.

Alright - now I'm getting scared! I have three that measured from 32-36cc at 10-11 days.... How in the world am I going to move them? The soil's so soft that the bobcat bottoms out!!
(Who THOUGHT they were a bit bigger than last year.. but didn't think they were anywhere NEAR the benchmarks for a 1,000!)

Good luck with them scienceteacher. Keep in mind that early fruits that keep up with the 1000 lb. benchmarks, can drop off pace quickly. One year I had one at 78" circ. at day 20. By day 30 it was way below 1000 lb. pace. Ended up 678.5 lbs.

Remember, I'm primarily just wanting these 'kins to reach enough age/size to have as many mature seeds in them as possible! Didn't expect to get more than a 600-700lb as the maximum in the patch - with the average around 200lb. That's why I'm hopeful to keep at least 2-4 'kins per plant... Of various crosses....
It'll just be VERY difficult to harvest a 1,000pounder in August - without damaging still-growing plants around it!
Cross-referenced my 'kin stats from last year, This 300 PP is 85% larger at 20 days than my largest one in '06. It's within 40"cc of my largest mature 'kin ever (thought THAT one was a ribbed Wheel - almost SOLID tissue inside and WAY over chart weight....) Guess I've finally gotten my soil/techinques down pat...
