My pumpkin is tilted forward and I think its goin to cause problems in the very near future but I am no expert nor do I have experience and need advise on what I should do. The pumpkin sits on a good 6 to 8 inches of sand. The stem end is pushing down into the sand and the stem is tilted towards the ground. I think I should remove some of the sand from the back side little each day for several days to lower the back side.I have a picture in my diary. Your opinion is greatly appreciated.

I corrected its position. Wasnt as hard as i thought it would be. I had to remove some sand from behind so it would tilt backward enough to push sand under the stem end . Worked good. We are now sitting in better position. Time will tell. Thanks for reading my post.

thats exactly what i did last year to one pumpkin that definately wanted to grow onto the stem, i pitched the soil leaving it high under the shoulders and graded it downward two or three inches to accomplish whatever effect i was looking for.
you dont need to excavate a large trench. just a few feet under the fruit to get it accustomed to growing down hill a bit.
once a week or so goes by she should not want to grow forward again and- if she does, it wont be so severe as if you did nothing
