Subject: horizontal split on a side vine

I dont no how this happend i staked down all the side vines before i left for a bit...i came back and the side vine blew over $#$@# now it has a horizontal split about 4 inchs long...now what the heck do i do??

If horizontal means....running the same way as the vine runs...it is not the "end all"...I would treat it with some type of fungicide (captan)...keep it dry, and hope for the best. Peace, Wayne

I just noticed that I have a split down a secondary vine also. I took a picture of it today and its in the diary. The thing is, at the point of the split it looks bad but the end of the secondary is as healthy and thick as all the rest. It happened some time back and has healed itself with out me noticing. Its amazing how these plants ends snap, bend and split just to heal itself back up and keep growing. :)
