just noticed this afternoon the last 12" of my main is wilting but not the rest of the vine this vine also has a 55lber on it any thoughts

If it's a hot day, I wouldn't worry....as long as they look normal in the evening. I have two plants doing the same thing.

Doug, keep the last few feet of vine shaded if possible. Helps prevent leaf burn too.

When it is hot the ends do not get enough water. Try watering a little more and soaking a little around the middle and ends of the main. The vine plants a spike straight down at each leaf intersection.

Man I wish I had 12" of wilting main! Put a little shade over the tip and try to keep it hydrated (not water logged) in the heat and your plant should be fine. 55 lbs this early sounds great! keep the fruit shaded too!
