Another thing, in nature, when its colder lots of things slow down..being it plants or animals.. Do ags do the same? do they slow up not just growing, but in nutrient uptake to? Because in that case, overferting would be easy to do. And could this slowing then cause aborting of pumpkins? because a fruit would put an even bigger straign on the plant.. Just wondering..

anythings possible when relating to pumpkins and weather. yes the fruit will slow a bit during a cold spell. if growth slows i would immage uptake of nutrients will slow as well.

or your lacking up take--cause it isnt there--no food for up take -slow down all problems that start to happen this time of year--treat things that grow like you would treat your self daily feeding---craig
