California is burning up! Temps' 115+ in many regions. Would it be wise to mist every few hours or so? What do you folks do when it gets so extreme? I have a friend that is growing AGs in Death Valley (he manages the "Furnance Inn"), he tells me the next week will be between 125-130! His misters are on 24-7.

Shade the tips and the fruit if you have any set. Misting helps alot. Aborts will be frequent in this heat. Try to keep em cool. I am doing the same!

if it is that hot you might want to mist every 30 min or so for just a couple of min

i dont envy you folks. high heat or high heat and humidity are pumpkin killers. we have been fortunate so far on the east coast. very dry but only a couple days in the mid ninties water you can always get. heat is another question all together. id consider some type of minimal shade protection over the plants if that keeps up
