I had one seed left, I planted it, now it is 3inchs high, the question is the stem is as big as my little finger, I have never seen a pumpkin this young with a big stem, hopefully it will keep growing this way. (I told my wife, and she could care less.)

fog, did u lose all your other plants? If I were to have to start over at this point in the year I would focus on soil building and additives. Good luck though if you are down to one plant!:)

I'm not as professional as most people here, but, I have 12, 2 for each son, 4 at my sons school, `1 up on a hill, 1 that grew and I had to plant it, and I myself have two that gets most of the attention, the one with the big stem,,,I had one seed left and I thought I might as well plant it, I did not file it, soak it, I just threw it outside and it is growing very well. These won't be the giant pumpkins but they will be bigger than ordinary, as for my personel 2 I watch closely,, I have to break my record of 100 pounds,, alot of room for learning more about ag pumpkins.
