If you had limited time in the patch, how would you prioritize work? What would you do first besides watering. Ie: burring vines (first), pruning (second) and insect control (third), foliar feeding/fertilizers (fourth), weeding (fifth)

I have been at this for six years and consider all you mentioned equally important.

first day you bury and prune
second day day you concentrate on watering ( cover any females pollinated that a.m. ( APPLY FISH,ETC AS WELL )
third day do your INSECT AND/OR DISEASE sprays ( EARLY AM OR LATE PM )
POSITION AND CHECK PUMPKINS DAILY BEFORE ANY WORK IS DONE

I went home for the first time in 5 weeks to my plants this past weekend. The first thing I did was straighten on the vines into a x-mas tree style (they were mostly there already thanks to Mom). I also weeded, buried vines, and pinched tertiaries as I buried. I didn't spray for insects because I normally don't have a problem with them. I wish I would have sprayed fungicide though. I plan on spraying when I am there again in 3 weeks. ....
It also depends on when the "limited time" is occuring. If I had lots of time to prep my patch, I probably wouldn't worry about fertilizer as much. If I know cuke beetles come every year in the middle of June, I'm gonna make sure I spray by then. ya know??? Gotta take into consideration the unique needs of the plant, and the time of year.
