after one is set on about 25 ft out should i termate the main line if so cuver it up thanks

The fruit is 25ft out? Thats far. Most go 10-15. Usually leave 10 ft after fruit. Then terminate and bury the tip. You wont bury the whole vine, leave about 4-5 feet on either side of fruit to alleviate stem stress. You dont want the tap roots to form near the fruit.

thanks that is far but is the onley i have i had one about 15 ft. but didnt poll right this here is not even ready yet hope it sets on

Man that's a long way out! Stem stress is my biggest problem. Often I cut stem right at pumpkin, it works for me.
