my first set pumpkin on my 974.5 bhaskaran is doing great and growing very well.but, i think i may have nicked it with my fingernail on the top.it has discolored a little around the spot. is there something i can do to help, or is this bad news?

Not to worry, it will scar over. In your area you might be able to get powdered Captan (not available in Canada) and you could dust a little on the scratch to help it dry.
I use sulphur powder on any scratches or splits and use it when I cut off leaves and tendrils to dry things up.
Not to worry...all is fine.

it'll be fine. it'll heal itself. unless it gets worse, I wouldn't run out and buy fungicide either. keep the shadecloth on.
