Call me looney!!!!! but I been measuring my pumpkin daily and I got curious (killed the cat) to see the differance in the growth from day and night. So I been measuring how much it grows in 6 hours and 12 hours then 24 hours.
AT first it was slow. 2 inches a day. Then 3 1/2 inches a day. It grew 3/4 inch in 6 hours yesterday. By this morning it gained 4 inches cc within 24 hours. Today is scaring me.
It grew 1 1/2 inches in 6 hours. AT that rate it would grow 6 inches within 24 hours. This cannot be good. I am afraid its gonna Crack or burst. Helppppppppppp.
How do I slow it down without harming the future growth???

leave it alone...lol 6 inches is great. I had one of my 1081's last year grow 7 inches for 10 days straight

i've heard of over 8.5 inches in 24 hours, and it held together fine.

Yep your right. I am hooked!!!!!!!!!!!! THis has been so exciting.
For the record, it only grew 5 inches this past 24 hours. Im still pleased.
Putting a tshirt on it to help keep the skin flexable.
I am beside myself this morning.
