I will try in the morning to pollinate one suppose to rain all night, so I used a tarp and placed over the female. If it works I'll already have the shade tarp up!!!

In 2004 I pollinated in the rain with success. I covered all males the night before with a plastic baggie and in the morning the flower opened up within the confines of it with no problem. You take the bag off and the flower just popped open. Takes a bit of care not to get the males wet but it worked for me. Check my diary I think there are some pics in it from it if I remeber right?.

Ziplock baggies over the female and all the males the day before. Last year I believe every pollination I had was on a rainy day. Used an umbrella as I pollinated, then imediately back under the ziplock. John

Guess what pap means is bring in the males the night before and cover the females to keep everything dry overnight.
Pollinate as usual and cover to keep dry afterwards.
Pretty sure that is what he meant :)
