What do you think of my idea, I call them pumpkin pipes, I have three pipes, plastic, the width of a liter pop bottle, about 2 ft long, they are in the ground, a foot down or more, spaced around the pumpkin seed/plant, then after watering I fill them up, this way I'm asured the roots will get watered,,,What do you think? think it will harm anything?

i did that many years ago. i called them "ROOT TUBES"

I LIKE THE IDEA . BE SURE TO CAP THE TUBE WHEN NOT FILLING WITH WATER - ETC ---- DONT OVER WATER

BU DOING SO YOU CAN SUPPLY SOME WATER AND SEA CROP TO THE BASE OF THE PLANT AS NEEDED DURING THE SEASON
