Despite the hail damage a week ago, my AG's are growing fast. I have 2 plants from a 1150 lb pumpkin that I purchased through Howard Dill's website. One plant is especially large, I think it will do the best. I'm a first time grower and I'm having a great time! I feed them once a week with Neptune's Harvest fish and seaweed. In the beginning I gave them some high-phosphorus fertilizer to get a strong root system going. My biggest fear are SVB's.........I've had them ruin my zuchinni plants in the past. I've been dusting with rotenone as needed to keep the bugs away but I hear that Merit works better? Any comments or advice are greatly appreciated.

Madscout, I'm glad your season is going well so far. It's good to see so many MN growers here at BP.com. I don't have any experience in keeping SVB's at bay, as I haven't noticed any damage from them, so far. Good luck!
