Is there a cheap effective IBA like or PGR product on the market to promote root production that does not contain high Phos fert. I would like to find something that is also water soluable if possible. Does such an animal exist?.

Yep, Don has sent you in the right direction, but if you live in Canada you can't order from Super Grow. They have IBA and a product called Root Tonic that is IBA, NAA, and GA3.

I did find and buy a product today that contains three PGR's. IBA, NAA and Kinetin. The only concern I have is it contains 5-15-5. I'm really trying to avoid increased N in my soil. I bought two liters and I may try it out on one plant at home a a couple at the cornerstone yard. Two years ago we had some success with a similar product. When applied to a sluggish plant we did noticed the difference.

I have attached the web page for this product as some of my Canadian friends may want to investigate this product.

Russ,

At the very low rates most of these products are applied; the N, P & K contribution will be very insignificant.

What rate is this material recommended? The label is to small to read the actual hormone percentages & application rates.

15% P is the highest Macronutrient. Fluid fertilizers weigh about 11 lbs per gallon or 1.375 oz per fluid oz.

1.375 X .15 = .2 oz P per fluid oz.

15ml is a half oz so the dose rate per the label will yield ONE TENTH of an ounce of Phosphorus per finished gallon. If you applied the gallon to 1000 sq ft, this would be the same as .27 lbs of P per acre.

Bird dung falling to the ground contributes more Phosphorus to your pacth every day. Don't worry about it.
