Sometimes I really chuckle when I see a new grower give a plant 10' to grow...Maximum 10'!!!

Our club sells seeds at the Puyallup Fair. Most of the folk realize that a Giant Pumpkin will require a good size piece of land to grow. When I tell them about 400 sq.ft many just break out laughing!

Good point Stan. I used to enjoy giving a new grower a seedling only to have them call me to come over cause "this plant has gone crazy"

You usually find that some new growers expect a 500 lb pumpkin from a 5 foot vine with 2 or 3 secondaries the same size.

Oh well, everyone has to start somewhere.

Stan, I think I bought some of your seeds last year and planted them this season. It is my first year and was wondering if I could email you some questions. I live in the Spanaway area. My email is [email protected]
