The ends of my mains and side vines are not elevated as they should be. They have been low all season, and in the past couple days have now fallen into the dirt. The plants look great and are growing well and putting out babies, but I don't like the tips not standing up in the nice cobra heads as they should. Any ideas ? ? ? ?

Mike, You can prop them up with Shish kabob sticks. Cross two underneath the vines, to support the vines above the soil. Or you can do what I do, and dig the soil out around the tips, to keep them from touching the soil.

Mine have never really stood up off of the ground. I am the same as you and dont like them in the dirt so I prop them up with some bamboo.

and here i am fighting with them because they want to shoot up.
Mike - (or anyone else) - have you noticed a difference with the vine flexibility when you add more leaves? I'm thinking the more leaves you put into the soil, the easier the plants are to work with.

Mike your plants are getting down low to the ground. Its evolution, here in Wisconsin we have these things called tornados. :)With the wind storms lately I like my tips down.

I should be so lucky........LOL. If the plant is growing at a normal rate, don't worry about it. I wish I didn't have to worry about breaking vines during the training process.
