Subject: vining plants

my plants are vining way wrong and i know you can turn them but let's say i want them to go north and there going south so i was wondering should i just turn them a little each the vines haven't hit the ground yet let me know thanks. :)

keep the main growing the same direction it is now. just turn the main slightly every couple days. you will need a large turn in order to let the sides continue to grow properly.
with no mains on the ground yet id almost be tempted to dig the plant up ( gently ) and turn the plant. if done gently (in the evening ) the set back would be much shorter period of time then it will take to turn the main in the opposite direction.
