Subject: secondaries on a double vine

I have some secondaries on a double vine that aren't in a great place- the are coming out of the top of the main vine. Is it practical to train them to go off to the sides, or will this possibly put too much stress on the main vine?

You might want use one of those secondaries as a new main if the double vine doesn't split.
