Has anyone used the Bayer Advanced insect and disease control that you mix up and apply to the base of a plant? Which type did you use and how much? Will this help control squash vine borers and other insects without killing a pumpkin plant? No matter how much i spray i always miss a few SVB'S that hurt my plants. Thanks in advance for your help.

Does it contain Imidacloprid? And which fungicide? I've sold & used the pro version of Imidacloprid (Merit 75 & 2F) with great results since 1994. I am not familiar with the consumer line. Post the active ingredients or I'll look them up later.

I have used Bayer Advanced tree and shrub and i used about 3-4 teaspoons per gallon. It seems like it protects my plants well without ill effects to my plant. I dont know if it kills svb's.

I have used the Bayer tree & shrub every year, only thing is with the Bayer it has alot less Imidacloprid( merit ) and you need to use alot more of the Bayer brand to get the same effect as using straight Merit. I think its like 16 times more of the Bayer brand to equal the recommended amount of Merit that is applied. But wait until Tremor Chimes in, I'm not 100% positive on that. Tremor chimes in again cause he knows his sh t when it comes to Merit.
