You're invited to see the movie BILL'S BIG PUMPKINS (http://www.billsbigpumpkins.com) at the Historic Fitzgerald Theater in downtown St. Paul, MN.

BILL'S BIG PUMPKINS was selected to play at the 2007 Solstice Film Festival. It was chosen out of the 500+ films submitted.

What:
BILL'S BIG PUMPKINS is a feature length documentary. It's a fun, inspiring look at an offbeat corner of American gardening and the dedicated, hard-working, and possibly slightly nutty people who inhabit it. Follow giant pumpkin grower Bill Foss as he attempts to grow the biggest pumpkin in Minnesota history.

The video is a very interesting seasonal journey of a man trying to meet his pumpkin growing goals and the disasters and success that happen on the way. Ryan and his friend Bill did a fantastic job of arranging the video and it has super music, great time lapse video, excellent photos, and phenomenal acting. Where else can you see the MN St Fair, Austin, MN Anamosa, IA and the Lake Elmo/Stillwater weigh-offs in just a few minutes?

Come and join me, you never which other growers you will see on and off the screen.

Yes, if you can, please come. Bring your family. Bring your friends! Bring anyone who's mildly interested. Force your neighbors to come. Show Hollywood what a giant pumpkin documentary can do!

OK Big Bill, I'm in, as long as the twin boys from Stillwater last year are in the video. I realize it may take some last minute editing, but if so I'm willing to offer the following. Open house here for those folks east of the MN border (or anywhere for that matter, I'll have to talk to Shannon so that he behaves and I don't think that genetic college guy will travel that far). Brigette, I'll stock both the refrig and some coolers too. I'll provide sleeping digs, I'll park the 26' camper in the driveway for whoever behaves best, otherwise tents in the yard or couches and beds in the house. I'll do food too. Sooo, a Sat post movie yard party? Who's in? No making fun of my punks, I'm hoping for a PB of at least 245lbs this year. Not sure what I planted, the twins pulled up the stakes. 50/50 chance one or the other of two is a Foss or Engle, maybe you guys can stop by and debate which is which? Serious, all are welcome here, let's plan a pre-raising pumpkin party, never know if I'll make it until Oct. Let me know...
