I think I have phytotoxic damage after spraying my plants with fungicide Sunday evening. I just noticed this evening that my newer leaves are damaged on all of my plants. I sprayed with a combination of Quadris at the rate of 1/3 oz. per gallon and Daconil at the rate of 1 tbl. spoon per gallon. I used Agro K Spraytech Oil as a spreader/sticker. I have a feeling I used too high a concentration of either or both fungicides when using a spreader/sticker. Can someone (Tremor?) offer an opinion and give advice on the concentrations I should have used?
Thanks, Charlie

Charile never spray the new growth with insecticides or fungicides. Let the leafs get bigger. I normally don't spray the last 6 inches of the vine for that reason. your plants will be alright you will just have a row of messed up leaves..mark p

Thanks, Mark. I guess I wasn't being careful enough with my spraying. I though I was avoiding the newer growth, but I guess not well enough. I just thought maybe I was using too high a concentration of Quadris and Daconil. Is Steve Jepsen
out there and could he give me some advice on this?

I think the Quadris dose is fine. I have used a tablespoon per gallon and have not had any problems. Daconil scares me, especially on a warm evening . I never used those in combination and would not of used the spray tech as a sticker. The plants should bounce back...

Been very busy lately.

Quadris rate is 11-15 oz/acre. Since the plants are so young right now even the low rate is dicey. The low rate works out to .25 fluid oz per gallon per 1000 sq ft. Like George I don't think this was the problem.

Daconil is available in a lot of different strengths. I wouls suspect this was the problem.

Absolutely never spray the new growth with combinations at full strength. I would try to skip the new growth at all times but if the situation is justified (ALS for instance), then cut the rate in half & repeat again at half rate 24-48 hours later.
