I think I know the answer already but would like confirmation on my thoughts. My leaves are turning yellow. Could this be caused by wet ground? It has been raining a lot and I don't think I have had dried ground for over two weeks. On top of it all, we have had very little sun to dry out the ground.

Could be too much water, lack of sune, etc.

Check for mites too.

In this area of Iowa, it is not only wet but also fairly cool. There hasn't been many days that it has been above the high 70's. My long gourds and watermelons have been in the ground for over two weeks and no sign of anything coming up.
Really upsetting since one of my pumpkins was started by my students at school and it was really looking great when I transplanted it. I just knew that it would produce top honors at the Iowa State Fair this year. As things now looks, I am not for sure what I'll have at that time.

Are they spots? Check and spray for bugs before you call it a day. I've had some yellow spots,I applied sevin and used the garlic concoction. Garlic, water, soap or molasses brewed for a couple of days, and sprayed on. I'm still waiting to see if that helps.
