Well I don't know if I should post or not.
We have big storms coming for the next 5 days.

My vine has a maing about 8 feet long, and some male flowers. I know that doesn't mean anything becuase last year my plant just died and it was about 20 feet long.

Man I am sure hoping to get a pumpkin.

I will post from time to time on how I am doing, and if I ever get one I will put up a picture.

So far the rain here is making my garden look real good this year.

Today I went out to check my pumpkin plant. The main vine has a split length wise. The wind had gotten under and twisted it open, so I pulled everthing back in position and it closed the split, I hope it will heal itself.

I pinned the plant in postion so it won't open up again.

I noticed one other thing - there is a female on the main vine, I don't know it it will set but time will tell.

Well I now have two females on my main vine.

First one is about 10 feet out second is about 12 feet out.

Will they set when they open? I'm hoping.

not to many male flowers so ill have to watch real close.

Looks like I might get a pumpkin yet!

So does anybody else have females on their plant this year yet?

I now have 5 females on the main vine, and two are next to each other.

It's either feast or famine I guess.

I think I have a good chance of getting a pumpki this time.
