I tried the papertowel, baggie way, and it seems to be working great, I took one seed out already and planted it. The question, some of the seeds are cracking almost like there ready to come out only that little white tale has'nt come out, should I wait for the tale before I transplant it.

I personally wait for the root to poke out. If germination has started, it should be out with in a few hours. I can also see if the root is normal looking, or a club root.

ASAP. Leaving them too long risks a broken or entangled root system.

This is the 3rd year I've used the paper towel and baggie method. Too long in the baggie and the cots sometimes either rot or look terrible....24 - 36 hours seems to be the number. Also...when you plant them it is extremely important that the temps stay @ 85...if it's cool your germination rates go down drastically. mark

the goal is to get your plant above ground as soon as possible to aviod soil borne or other pathogens invading the seed. Plant in pots as soon as you see the hint of roots coming out.
