Bring it on Mother...warning for Ontario and the lower Great Lakes areas FROST Tonight!

Blankets, heaters and lights are ready and waiting. What is your solution to this chilly night?

I just checked the satellite imagery from Buffalo.

It doesn't look like we will get much help from cloud cover.
The skies will most likely clear by early morning setting the stage for yet another round of frosty's revenge.

They are talking light frost possible even in the Chicago area away from the lake.

Got pretty cold at home last night. White frost on the roof tops. I have 175w infared heat bulbs in three of the hoop houses, a 100W bulb with sleeing bag over the hoop house on one and a 100W + another 60W in the last one.

All seem to be ok this morning.

They are calling for another frosty night here tonight. Down to 3C. I am close to the lake which means we are much warmer. At 7:00AM this morning it was only 2C at Belleville, but at home we were already up to 6.5C. This usually makes quite a differance.

We are also cooler in the summer, which can be a benifit as well.

We had frost here on Monday morning. These constant night time lows of 32-35 F aren't helping at all. I wonder if it'll ever warm up here in central Ontario. Eastern Canada is experiencing the same weather this year as well. Jane just finished putting in her new plants yesterday. Who else is experiencing cold night temps?

We had a high yesterday of 3 and at 11:00 AM yesterday the temp was minus 4. Oh ya we also had 4 inches of snow. We have had frost 3 out of the last 4 days, and not looking good for the rest of the week.

In the last week I have had four frost's and two other days at 40 at 4:30 AM when I go to work. All the plants look good, there a little a head of last year.
