I have a fair amount of experience with handling liquid nitrogen and storing frozen semen (don't even smirk). I have just obtained a new liquid nitrogen container on behalf of the XPG with drawers for storing seeds and am keen to try some experiments with cryopreservation of pumpkin seeds. I would welcome any input from anyone with direct experience of cryopreservation of seeds, particularly in terms of whether they are stored in the liquid or gas phase of the nitrogen and what vials, heat-seal wrap or containers I should store the seeds in particularly as it will be essential to prevent liquid nitrogen entering any of the seeds. If you have any info then post it here rather than emailing me as then everyone can see it.
This is the tank I am going to use

Very pleased with this absolute bargain which I think is the right type of tank.

IF I can remember to try it, I have pollen frozen for 3 years at -70C. All I need to do is remember to get it out at the right time. Perhaps on one of the pollinator plants this year
