We are! It's in the patch and doing well so far. We are also growing the 1502. It too looks great.

many growers are giving the 977 a ride. the mother of this seed grew the 1469 2005 larry checkon world record, the father of this seed last year grew the worlds first 1,502 pounder. plus the 977 taped in the mid 700 pound range and weighed 977. thickest fruit most had ever seen.

pap, are you saying that the 977 was grown on a cutting ("clone") off the 1354 plant on which Larry grew his 1469?

NOOO he is saying the seed is the 1354 Checkon x 1068 Wallace. The opposite of the 1502. Which is 1068 x 1354.

I grew a 812 pounder that is 26.1% heavy off this seed. Loved the plant! Wish I had one or 2 more to plant next year. Thanks for the seed Ron. Got any more?
