Here is a link to a picture of the 1010 Frantz. The leaves are growing a little different. Has anyone ever seen this before. Should I plant it or cull it. The first two leaves are deformed the third currently appears to be normal. Let me know what you think. All the rest of my plants are developing normal so I don't think it is anything environmental.

Chad - it can be common for a plants first few leaves to be a little misformed. It seems that plants only problem is it isnt in the dirt yet. LOL. Good Luck to you.

Its roots have hit the bottom of the pot Should have been put out in garden a week ago Might recover if you give it some dirt
Plant a seed in a glass jar sometime Watch how fast the roots grow
Pumpkins don't transplant as slick as tomatoes I put sprouted seeds in a 8in tall pot Replant within about 3-5 days Must keep whole dirt body intact

Is that leaf wilted or just deformed? If wilted or soft, then there are problems, if not, then get it in the ground. I would actually disturb the roots a bit when you transplant if the roots are massed around the pot.

If that leaf is wilting I would suspect a vascular or root rot disease. Keep it well away from the other plant(s) & wash your hands often.

The leaves are not wilting. They were just deformed from day 1. I transplanted it today and the roots did not appear to be root bound. Hopefully the next leaves will develop correctly. Thank you for your help.
