Subject: 125 wolf is in the patch!!!

Well transplanted the 125 wolf into patch today but 2 roots touched the bottom and they came off off i hope this does not setthe plant back....so now that the plant is in hoop anything that should be done??

Eric, I wouldnt worry about the roots coming off, from what I read on here some growers will trim their roots before planting, dont really know why,maybe for more roots?, Im really not sure on that one.

Used to be that when you transplanted you clipped or disturbed the roots that had reached the bottom and edge of the pot so as to encourage new growth. Maybe and old wives tale (no offense to wives old or young intended) or maybe really works!
Either way you are good to go

when tranplanting pine tree seedlings. you are to trim the roots to encourage more root mass.
