OK, I tried to put one plant in early, two weeks ago. I babied that little one, watching the temp., rabbits etc. All was going OK, but not much growth due to cool temps, but it was growing. Last Sat night, they talked about hail but I told myself, not in my patch. How wrong I was, poor little guy really suffered. I don't want to put him out of his misery but may have too. At least I learned to pay more attention to the weather forecaster.

plants need protection this early in the season, unpredictable temps, wind frost heavy rains you never know what mother nature will throw at ya.?

Oops, guess I said what I didn't mean. I meant that that poor little guy was down, I still have several inside to move outside. Matter-of-fact, I have one that I had my boys at school start that really has taken over its pot. I have transplanted it once alreay and now it is waiting to go outside. If any of you know Don Young from Des Moines, you can let him know that this is the one that is going to beat him at the Iowa State Fair.

frank sorry to hear about loosing a plant. if you need a plant i have some backups about ready to come out of germinator. il look forward to seeing you at the fair your due to get 1 there this year. maybe next weekend or weekend after im gonna be fishing a couple farm ponds out side of creston shoot me a email frank i might stop [email protected]
