I've got two 1253 Sperry plants. The one that I set out two weeks ago is considerably smaller than the back-up that I transplanted to a 2 gallon pot. The back-up looks like it's putting out more leaves than it should at each node and the vine seems to be flattening out. I was thinking about pulling the one that I set out and planting the back-up, but now I'm not so sure. Does anyone have any thoughts on this? I'll post some pictures if you think it would help. Thanks, Charlie

I'd keep the double-vine plant. My 1038 Isom (from the 1200 Trumm) is the largest pumpkin I've ever grown and it started out as a double-vine. I'm toying with the theory that a double vine coming out of the stump is actually superior to a single. Any thoughts out there?
