Thanks

jeff The most important think living in a warm climate is keeping you plant cool maybe a misting system. If You are not worried a weighoff or halloween maybe if you start your at the being of march you may not have the heat toworry about.

Mark thanks for replying . I was going to try and at least enter a pumpkin in our county and state fair ,they areboth mid October. Isaw in a book the patch of Chris Andersen in California it looked to be in the shade, and that breaks all the rules I've read.

Jeff, w/ my experience of growing pumpkins I have learned that if you put to much water on the plant on a hot day where the sun shines directly over it it can be burnt and either cuase the plant to be seriously burnt or die. I even live in Oregon. But the main thing is that u a timing or something of shad.. like in the morning have no shad atop of the pumpkin and in the day, the hottest, put a tarp or cover that the sun can't really get onto the plant. Mist is a good idea, but remember, over due it and it can burn your leaves!

I followed the instructions on the Misting article in the How-To section.

It was cheap and very functional! The folks at DripWorks didn't try to upsell me and provided good advice.

(I don't work for DripWorks)
