I recently bought an electronic soil tester cause I'm way to cheap to do it any other way. If this thing worked properly it said the pH analysis was ideal but the fertilizer analysis said to little. Since planting time is here is there any type of liquid fertilizer I can add with water to help a pumpkin plant? Needless to say this is my first go at a giant.

A pH meter MIGHT get a reasonably accurate pH reading. But there is no way in heck that it will even come close to giving you an accurate fertility reading. PLEASE look into a FREE soil test at your local cooperative extension service. Your taxes have already paid for it.

Here in CT a soil test is still "free" but we are the 2nd most taxed suckers in the USA.
