Subject: 8" tall seedlings

my seedlings have jumped up to about 8" tall and are tall so they are bending over i cant plant them until saturday how deep should i plant them they are just starting to get there true leaves any help???

Support them as best you can and transplant with the appearance of the first true leaf. Plant all the way to the cots(the entire stem).

The light levels are too low. Get them into the sun (GENTLY) & ditto the planting them deeper ASAP. Just watch exposing them to too much sun too quickly.

If you are not giving light in the right bandwidth, then they can also become leggy. Common incandescent lighting will do this. Incandescent is just the wrong bandwidth...not enought blue light. I could go into paragraphs about the right light but won't. Just transplant.

yep... not enough light. I could go into the physiological reasons for it, but like Ben, I'm just going to say transplant!!! And buy a cheap fluorescent light to use indoors next year. I use cool white.
