One of my favorites over the past year is guessing how many times the Wiz will post in a day/week/month. lol :)
Seriously, I love the little kids at Halloween that come for miles to see our pumpkins and have the parents ask if I have any extra seeds so that they can try....have hooked alot of new growers that way.

Going to the patch in the early morning and the pumpkins are visibly bigger than the evening before. To believe in miracles, plant a garden!

I like it when I walk out there and its turned into a little jungle, the leafs are now 2 ft wide, you can't see anything below your knees, looks like your house is about to be taken over by a plant.

I especially like the anticipation of the growth, so measuring the pumpkins is one of my favorite things. I also like the fact that there is such diversity in the looks of these A.G.s. I look forward to see what the final product(pumpkin) looks like. I like orange, so I pick seeds with orange genetics. I really like checking in on this website, and the AGGC(especially when new pumpkin info. comes in), to learn more.

I love this part of year. Sticking a seed in the ground and the miracle that happens from there. The whole year is fun, but at this point you haven't had a chance to screw much up. If you do you can still salvage your season with a new seed. What kind of cheese Brooks?

I'm with you Glenn. All the other stuff is nice, but the REAL reason for me is Halloween. Having little kids come to your house every year and trying to figure out if it is real or not, seeing the look on their faces, it's priceless. Alan

Best part for me this seson was to see a cyclist fall off his push bike as he looked to long at the pumpkins growing in the patch.
