The 1450 Wallace seems so far to be very aggressive. It was the first to germinate and push dirt. Root are busting from the peat pot in three days. I will have to plant it today in the green house. I also have a 1225 Jutras and a 670 Daigle that also popped, but are not nearly as aggressive. Who else is planting a 1450?

hey we all realize that the 1450 was grown from a 1068 and pollinated from the 1068 that grew the 1502. possibly the best of both worlds that anyone could ask for. a genetic dream? time will tell. sadly i only ended up with 75 or so good seeds and did give half out this past winter.
our 1450 seeds are agressive as well. thanks for the update

1450 germinated faster than any seed I have ever had. Long road ahead but early indications are great. Hopes are high here.

My 1502 Germinated in 24 hours. I'm not important enough to have a 1450...and I couldn't even buy one at auction for a ridiculous price. So I'll just stick with my 1502 and 1068 that I bought at auction last year.

vineman, sorry you do not feel important enough to get a 1450. i gave out as many as possible. first to people who i knew and were friends with, second to people that asked politely. if it hits i only have 25 seeds left for next years important people. pap

Pap, I know that there were not many seeds in it. I think that the 1450 may be "the best of the new bes"t and do wish I had one...but really I'm was just trying to be a smart alec with my comment above. A while back I was giving Pete Glasier a hard time about getting one because he was a GPC Hall of Famer...so really that comment was for him. Besides, if I had a 1450 to grow I might not have room for my 992 Glasier!

brooks better get the best out of that seed cause the party is pretty much over. seed supply is way down , hoping one of our 2006 crosses can take its place. dont count that 977 wallace out either, look at the parents and as one person in the know mentioned, the 1354 checkon mother pollinated with what eventually became the wr 1502 , plus bringing some 898 knass into the checkon via the 1068 could be special. time will tell. ive never see a pumpkin as thick at the 977. christ it taped 740 and weighed 977.( and they dont get thinner as they grow they get thicker. or as we say in the sngpg mafia (TICKER) what a shameless plug lol pap
