When do most of you start putting your plants outside to harden off. Mine are a few days old and I'd rather have them see sun than artificial lighting. They tend to get leggy!!! Mark

Once they are up, I put mine outside during the day and then bring them in again at night. That way they harden off and can stay warm.

The reason I posted was....I've been bringing them out since day 2 for a couple hours a day this year and they are much healthier than any other year when I waited 5 - 7 days before bringing them out. I was just wondering if I got lucky or if others have had good results doing it this way. Thanks ...Mark

Mil, as soon as they are up...if climate allows....I put them into direct sun, a little more each day!!! Seems to work well!! Peace, Wayne

Thanks Wayne..I think this will be how I do it every year...weather permitting. Artificial light just can't compete with natural sunlight. Mark

You could put it in the cold frame in the daytime(make sure it doesn't cook..ventilate when needed, and bring it inside at night.
