I started test seeds and the seedlings are up and getting tall, the problem is where the seed shell fell off, the leaves are brown and looks like a big bite was taken out of the leaf. What is the cause of this? I did have some mold growing on the seed shell. Any help, would be appreciated. Starting the real pumpkins on Saturday. A little late, but the weather has been so bad.

make sure your germination area holds a STEADY HEAT of 85 to 90 degrees. DONT OVER WATER. just keep the seed starter moist not soaked. you can get mold ,etc, if the area is to cramped with pots place against one another
