How many bury their drip irrigation lines? I think I am going to, just to prevent me tripping over all of them...lol
Thanks....Ray

Ray, I used to bury drip lines w/about 3-4" leaf mulch, but now leave them sit on the surface. I alternate drip to feed w/house pressure to water, and want to be sure it's even watering and no blow-outs. Duff

Hi Ray,
I've done both. They're supposed to last longer when buried, but if you're driving any stakes beware of where they are! Last year I buried, and the wife destroyed about half of them with a scuffle hoe. At least she weeds! This year they'll be exposed! kilr

Hi Ray, Last year, I buried them for one plant and not for another. Both plants did the same, could not seee a diffrence. However, I cant tell you how many times I sat a stewed about how much water the covered lines were putting out, was there a leak somewhere? A plugged branch or line? A cut line? It was definelty not worth the extra stress. And like above, cultivation becomes a hit and miss propistion.

I buried mine about 1/2" on average. Next year I plan on going deeper so I can bury my vines easier.
