This is what I get for trying to help this young man out. I sent him this seed last year so he could grow it. Not trade it.
Yesterday morning I see his posting on the seeds exchange. I email him and ask for the seeds back if he's not going to grow it. I even offered to trade him some tomato & pepper seeds to get it back. Then with out responding to my email he post this.
Good luck Josh,
Kenny

Josh - this is frowned upon with most the growers not only on this site but in all walks. If your not going to grow it, send it back to stl.kenny

I think this is one of the reasons that some of the big growers will not be sending out random seeds next year unless you are going to plant it.

Josh, you spent months collecting, asking for seeds, asking for trades and I guess just collecting seeds with no intent of growing them....just trading.

Seems like you really should do the right thing and send your seeds back to whomever they came from if they want them back or better yet, offer them up for free so that someone else has a chance to grow them.
I agree with Drew and this is the reason that I do not trade or giveaway seeds to people like Josh that are merely collecting to trade later.
He clearly stated on one of his first posts that he had an 8' X 8' area to grow in and was looking to grow a small plant with compact leaves....oh well....goose is cooked now!

trading seeds you received from another grower
is collecting seed packs from growers then trading them away the right thing to do in this hobby?
probably not however, once we give a seed out its considered a gift and the person we give it to can do as they please with it.
do i like the idea ? no. am i a bit offended after all the work packaging seeds and shipping hundreds of bubbles that a lot were just trade bait? yep. but new growers to the hobby will usually always hoard and or trade seeds. most all growers did at one time or another.
but i have another take thats as important. if you dont send out your seeds how can you expect them to ever get planted? so a few get swapped and what not ? its part of the game. besides the very best seeds never usually get swapped or traded. a respected grower asks a fellow grower for a seed with the intention of planting it and usually thats all it takes. if your going to plant it dont be afraid to explain this and ask for it.

Someone that is truly interested in the 1233 reiss seed is (LIpumpkin) his name is Glenn! He had asked me for some seeds from my 1233 reiss pumpkin but I has some mice eat them all. You should watch for him in the chat room!

Trading/selling off seeds asked for in good faith with the promise of growing it out blows! If you ask for a "hot" seed with the pretence of growing it and then trade/sell it up you blow!
Jeeesh Pap got any 1502's I can have???
