Well someone wish me luck!
I put my pumpkin plant out today, it has been 84 degrees here.
The last two years i have not been able to grow a pumpkin, so, i'm trying it again.
I'm still hoping to get at least one pumpkin in my life.
Time will tell.

Best wishes are in order then.
What usually kills them? Perhaps we can help solve whatever problems you've been encountering.

Larry, It just seems really early. But I live in Ohio and it's going to snow this weekend. What has been your problem in the past? We would all like to help! BUCKEYES!! #2 in Football and Basketball! That's gotta be a record! Oh....Good Luck!

Last year my plant just died! I don't know why it just quit!
The year before, I never got any to make it. I had one set on but then it died.
I think it was the drought we have been having. My whole garden just turned yellow, no matter what I did everything died.
All the leaves on all the plants just turned yellow starting at the outside edge and worked inwards.
It looked like some kind of virus or something had come in, and it spread over my whole garden, starting at some purple beans that I tried to grow.
Any thoughts would be appreciated.
What ever it was never bothered my potatoes or swiss chard.
Also! during the whole year I only had 5 tomatoes seton.

Good luck Larry! I hear that we are to be getting some cooler weather for the next several days.

As the warm weather kicks in be sure to scout your leaves for spider mites. Hold a sheet of clean white paper beneath a fading leaf. Then gently tap the leaf. Now use a magnifying lens in brite light to investigate anything that has fallen onto the paper. You'll be looking for dots that are smaller than the head of a pin. If they're moving then we have a problem.
