Kudos to Ron Wallace and his presentation at The OVGPG seminar on March 17. Great to see that Ron has the same addiction the rest of us do! Missed meeting his Dad, Dick, though.

Quinn Werner's presentation was also very informative. It gave me some ideas on how to align my plants in the patch.

The OVGPG did a wonderful job of organizing the presentations and kept things moving along. Great job guys!

Fred,

No copies of the presentation, but there were some dvd's available for purchase($10.00) of how Ron Wallace grew the world record.

Post a request for availability here on the site. Someone with pertinent info will respond.

I have to agree, top notch seminar. Thanks to Ron for making the trip and sharing his information with us.

Quinn's presentation was great. He told me he was nervous. Quinn was very clear, easy to follow. I'd like to see him do more in years to come.

We had a record number of Michigan growers there, 6, although two are transplants from Ohio's finest. We are glad to have them living here, and are openly recruiting more.

Was a good time, Bob

Dear Folks,
I just had to share this to feel content. Yesterday I had the wonderful opportunity to attend the OVGPG Seminar in Canfield, OH. Mr. Quinn Werner and Mr. Ron Wallace were present to speak and reviewed their growing techniques toward growing a fruit that surpasses the 1400 lb. & 1500 lb. mark. As I continued to listen and take notes my mind continued to wonder not so much on how they grew these behemoth pumpkins but more on the hard work and dedication they put into growing organizing, learning and sharing with others. These individuals are truly remarkable in their tireless work ethic and what they're willing to share with other growers that it took years and constant effort to obtain themselves. Their egos are very intact and are working on a level of sharing beyond their personal gain that many only hope to acquire. They're not in it for money, gain etc. I was impressed to hear how much they are willing to donate of their time, knowledge and monetary gains. Two true giants in the humanitarian and pumpkin world causes. Thank you both sincerely. Also thank the OVGPG staff (Alan Gibson, Tim Parks, Dave Stelts, Jerry Rose, Dale & Frank Lanterman and I'm sure I've missed some) for having them and all of us. Truly wonderful folks. Sincerely, Don Chambers
